Obituary of Babu Gajendra Singh

Babu Gajendra Singh, beloved father, grandfather, brother, and uncle was reunited with his dear wife, parents, and siblings on February 2, 2024.
Born September 1, 1947 in Georgetown Public Hospital to Cyril Ramjeet and Basmattie Singh, he would later attend the Rudranauth High School on a full scholarship. Thereafter, Babu aka Ranji would go on to become a teacher at Auchline Primary School, and following his tenure there served as a Public Health Inspector with the Guyana Ministry of Health. In the United States from 1983 he worked with the New York City Department of Housing And Urban Development (NYC HUD) in lower Manhattan. He survived the 9/11 terrorist attacks and worked with NYC HUD and retired after 30 years of service to New York City.
Known for his love of family, warm smile, and generous spirit, he was a wellspring of affection for many.
He is survived by his two sons, Dennis and Chris, their respective spouses, Jennifer and Daniel, his three granddaughters, Penelope, Elizabeth, and Charlotte, his younger brother, Boadh Rajendra. And his many nieces and nephews who he loved dearly.
